President's Message
Welcome to Kurume Institute of Technology
The educational goal of Kurume Institute of Technology is to “foster engineers rich in humanity,” and we provide assistance and services needed for individual students.
The Institution established a new department, The Department of Education and Creation Engineering in April 2007. We begin to send our graduates with deep scientific knowledge into the field of education. The new Master Course in Automotive Systems Engineering aims to produce engineers requested by automobile industries recently gathered on Kyushu Island. Our graduate students can obtain the certificate of the First- Class Auto Mechanic through the program. All the undergraduate departments offer courses that students can choose from, and each department assists them to acquire a wide range of scientific knowledge in the latest facilities.
We have invited two distinguished artists as visiting professors. Mr. Ichiro Tsuruta is one of the most popular art designers in the area of advertisement. He will inspire our students with his “sensitivity” and “expression,” which will add compassion to the area of engineering education. Ms. Mika Yoshida, a Marimba player, also joins us to support our students with her music. They will greatly contribute to the realization of the educational goal of our institution.
