Department of Environmental Symbiosis Engineering
Environmental issues are one of the most essential concerns in the 21st century. The Department of Environmental Symbiosis Engineering offers courses of study such as Earth Science, Material Science, Biotechnology, Information Science and Social Science. Our goal is to help students acquire the knowledge and skills they need to realize the world where people can live in accordance with the natural environment. We expect students to work for private enterprises, local governments and other organizations dealing with improving the environment. The most unique programs that the department provides are fieldwork courses where students can visit many environment and energy-related facilities and factories. They also observe the natural environment on and around the campus. Kurume City is known for division of waste materials from the home for recycling, and students can learn advanced environmental technology systems. The Faculty supports students to acquire various certificates related to the environment.
